"Relaunching Instinct in my hometown where I started it and incorporating revenue from every sale to empower underprivileged students is a dream come true. Business can solve big social problems but if I can just help with one small problem, the life trajectory of a student, then my mission will be fulfilled."
Danielle’s Story
Expansion, Growth and Development are three words that define Danielle’s life. And one of her biggest accomplishments has been her growth at work.
Determination, diligence and hard work created opportunities for her to move from volunteer to Programmes administrator, and then Programmes Manager in a few short years at 9Miles. She now manages a team of 12 young people who require ongoing mentorship, coaching and training, as well as leading programmes for the children in our afterschool programmes.
She was selected as a protege of the Youth Empowerment Through Sport (YES) programme at the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in 2023. This is a powerful programme that invests in young people by empowering them to be change makers and to go into their communities to make a positive impact through sport – something that she has been doing from a young age!
