Things are hotting up at our West Coast project with some quick, and exciting developments….

On Friday, 29 November we caused quite a stir in the Elands Bay Caravan Park with an early-morning delivery of a shipping container that will kickstart our weekly operations on the West Coast.

The driver expertly maneuvered the crane and truck with his heavy load

The space will allow us to store our surf and office equipment and also meant we could appoint a local young man as a coach to oversee weekly activities.

We welcomed Clinton to the team and brought him to Cape Town for training & onboarding

News spread fast and before we knew it some of our kids had gathered at the site of their future clubhouse. Once we have raised enough funds additional containers will be converted and shipped to the site to provide a safe, functional space from which we can run regular programmes for our Elands Bay kids.

We are so grateful to the NSRI and their partners for the use of their container and for their efforts to kit it out for us, to Dibana Logistics for safely transporting it, and to Cederberg Municipality and Municipal Manager Louis Volschenk for granting us permission to create a safe space for our West Coast children.

We are so excited to see what 2020 brings!
