Our Easter was certainly one for the books…with the Easter bunny making a stop in Cape Town, Elands Bay and the Eastern Cape…

You know you’re at a 9Miles event if the heavens have opened and the day of our Easter Egg Hunt certainly didn’t disappoint when our kids arrived in a deluge!

The rain didn’t put a damper on things as the kids excitedly participated in the obstacle course which had been created by our crafty, and brilliant operations team. Combine all the best elements of Survivor, Fear Factor and The Amazing Race; and you have a glimpse of the various obstacle courses and games our children in Cape Town had to tackle to get the final clues to where all the marshmallows were hidden.

Nobody went home empty handed though because each child also received a large chocolate rabbit and hot cross buns – all made possible by the kind donations of Maria Botha and her friends in Perth!

What made Easter even more special was that the funds allowed us to do something special on the West, and East Coasts as well. Thanks to our volunteers and supporters in Elands Bay and St Francis Bay, we were able to spoil our kids with some Easter treats as well.
