What happens when a ripple comes full circle?

You may never know how far a pebble will travel once it touches the water. But sometimes, you get to witness where its ripples reach.

Faieq, Henrico and Jaywin first came to 9Miles as young participants. Years later, they have returned to help guide the next generation, not simply as former beneficiaries, but as young men using what they received to pour into others.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and supporters, pre-loved clothing and household essentials found new homes at this past Friday’s Community CAB Day (Come and Buy Without Money), where nearly 200 households were able to shop with dignity.

This year, on 2 May 2026, Pearle and Marishka are taking on the 100Wave Challenge together, Pearle aiming to raise R10 000 and Marishka R5 000.
For both of them, this is more than a personal goal. It’s a way to continue the work that has impacted so many lives, including their own, and to keep showing up for the young people who need it most.

Because of exciting upgrades happening sooner than expected at Strandfontein Pavilion, our much-loved surfathon 100Wave Challenge is officially moving to the vibrant shores of Muizenberg Beach on 2 May 2026.

Help us transform and expand the Elands Bay clubhouse so it can continue to serve the kids who need it most. So, one day soon, we want to look back and say: we didn’t just visit Elands Bay; we built something here that lasts.

Grab your sunscreen, dust off your boards and circle Saturday, 2 May 2026 in bold on your calendar because the 100Wave Challenge is surfing its way back to Strandfontein Pavilion and this year: we’re going even deeper, louder and more connected than before.

On 11 October 2025, our 9Miles Project family hit the road for one of the most meaningful weekends of the year – CAB Day (Come and Buy ‘without money’) where love, laughter, and community connection filled the small coastal town of Elands Bay.

This July, a group of our Cape Town team members packed their bags, their surfboards, and their passion, and hit the road on a mission: to relaunch our St. Francis Bay project and ignite a wave of transformation for the local youth.
